our doggies.

Just because with the upcoming arrival of a tiny human, it may be awhile before these two get any air time.  And because the blog needed attention, and today I picked up my camera just ’cause for just a couple of minutes.
Our doggies!

my crew.

We were lucky to get cards out this year. And even at that, I still have a stack sitting on my kitchen counter that weren’t lucky enough to receive one of my last few stamps. So if you didn’t receive a card from us this year, never fear – if I get around to buying stamps, you may get one by Valentine’s Day! Maybe.

Here are a few from our mini-shoot for our Christmas cards. Brooks crawled holes right through his jeans that day, and began walking a few weeks later. If it wasn’t hard enough to get a photo of the two of them together before, my hail mary attempt at getting one with the two of them with Brooks on foot was just wishful thinking on my part. My boys are just too busy for photos. No time for that nonsense, Mom.

Thank goodness I can count on these two to pose together nicely. Love this one of our furry crew!

Hope everyone is finding their rhythm in 2015 after the hustle and bustle of the holidays! Cheers.

welcome, Jozie. | Kansas City newborn photographer

Welcome, Jozie! This little lady had the sweetest, most easy going temperament – and I was in love. Jozie arrived last month as little sister to Emmy, who you have seen a couple of times before on my blog. This family is one that I adore, and I’m so happy I was able to share just a little bit of time capturing some photos of Jozie, big sister, and their parents.

Emmy was such a sweet big sister. She loved holding and planting kiss after kiss upon her little sister. I love this one of her studying her little feet.

My momma.

Hi, friends! The whirlwind of travel, holidays, and the loss of my momma have kept me from much more than my blogging, but I’m back to play catch up – or at least attempt to not completely neglect this blog over the next couple of months before a baby girl arrives to distract me some more.
Saying goodbye to one of my most favorite people in this world – my best friend and mother.. AND world’s greatest Grandma – has been the hardest, most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever faced. I am blessed beyond measure to have had such an incredible woman in my life. She was an example of humility, grace, strength, and beauty – her best accessory her smile, and she was seldom seen without one. She had the kindest heart, and sweetest soul.. and she is missed by so many.
I miss my sweet momma, but she’s being carried in my heart into 2015. <3 p="">
