T-ball.

This summer we embarked on a “first” with t-ball enrollment for Owen. I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying this, and better yet – how much he is loving it. We had a shy first couple of practices, but come game time he shined. I love watching him – focused, tongue out, and running with all his might.. only to crank it up a notch when he hears the cheering from his fan base. (The benefits of living in the same city as your 7 cousins!) Summer and baseball just go so nicely together. Hope you’re all enjoying yours!

I met Brooke & Dave over 7 years ago during a visit to KC while I was in college. Brooke was a friend of my husband’s in high school who was getting married just a few weeks before us, and we’d planned to get together once we were all settled in to our new KC digs. They quickly became some of our closest friends. Over a year ago, they welcomed sweet Emmy into their lives, and I had the privilege of photographing their sweet family of 3 (plus cam-o!) as it is now last weekend.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking some maternity photographs for one of the very first friends I made when moving to KC when she filled the empty cubicle next to mine just a few months after I began my first “big girl job.”

Here we are 7 years later, and her belly is busy growing and housing TWO baby boys. Cheers to you, my friend – you’ve never looked so lovely.

When visiting one of my nearest and dearest friends [since 2nd grade!] I snuck in a couple of quick photos of her brand new baby girl. Adley Kate already seemed so teeny when compared to my [almost] 8 month old. So happy to meet her, smooch her, and spend an afternoon with my hometown girlfriends.
