brooks at 6 months | kansas city children’s photography

Somehow, 6 months has passed, and I have found myself looking ahead to planning this little guy’s 1st birthday. What makes this so hard to believe is that it seems I was just doing this for Owen, my older son. Our happy 6 month old has brought so much joy to our lives with his infectious smiles and sweet spirited personality. This age is so fun. The interactions, the giggles, and the adoration he has for his mommy, daddy, and big brother. And his TONGUE: his most recent discovery and obsession shining through in this photo shoot. I had way too much fun taking photos [and way too many to choose from.. this is my condensed version!] of my growing baby boy.. but could we slow time down just a tad?

this season’s first snow days.

a photo taken [from inside my warm house, out an open window] on snow day #2 (of 3) for the boys last week. i’m always on hot chocolate duty – and i oblige, gladly, as it’s my ticket to stay indoors. 🙂 keep warm, kansas city!

I had the pleasure of meeting this blue-eyed cutie last weekend to sneak in some 6 month shots before he heads out of town. Danny was such a sweet spirited little guy with such a happy disposition. Thanks for being so generous with your smiles, and making my job so easy. It was a pleasure to meet you guys!

sledding on Christmas Day.

It’s a well known fact that I am no lover of snow. But there’s nothing that makes me happier than to see my boy(s) happy, and snow is just one of those childhood delights. What wonderful luck that Kansas City received its first “real” snowfall just in time for Christmas.

During our celebrations with family on Christmas Day, the older kids (and one younger!) got out to enjoy some sledding. It was a wonderful day spent with family.

sometimes, you fall off of your sled an get snow in your eyes. and it’s cold. 😉
