so long, 2012.

christmas was good to us here in kansas city. our first christmas in kansas city. getting to put owen to bed on christmas eve in his own bed, and wake up in our own home was really special. what a fun age he is this year. the change from last christmas to this one was unbelievable, as he was able to comprehend and partake in so many of the festivities that he was otherwise oblivious to or unable to comprehend last year. i don’t know who enjoyed christmas more between owen and his father and i. what a joy to spend our first (and last!) christmas as a family of 3 in our home this year.

cheers to 2013!

owen and his cousins, take two.

last year, owen’s nana and papa were gifted photos of their 6 beautiful grandchildren for christmas. well, a couple of sisters-in-law of mine had to go and outdate that really quickly by each having a baby before a year has passed. SO, nana wasn’t shy to put in her 2012 christmas gift wish for this year..

hehe. now i’m ornery, but not that ornery. so we also gifted some with their non-silly faces, too. yep, owen has some pretty cute cousins. they make quite a handsome group, if you ask me. while my in-laws were on vacation, we had our photoshoot right in their backyard for some added drama. 🙂 merry christmas nana & papa!

guess it’s my turn to outdate cousin photos before next christmas..

announcing…

maybe you noticed, or maybe you didn’t, but i completely fell off my weekly picture bandwagon. but at least i have a good excuse with feeling a little [a lot] under the weather. i do have a couple of pictures to share before i hole up again for awhile longer..

i really think he’s going to be the best big brother ever. 🙂

the c family | kansas city family photographer

i had the privelage of taking some photos for the c family last weekend. their youngest, kyler, is only a month older than owen. since it had been awhile since i’d seen their family last, it was really fun to see how much their cute little crew had grown! thanks for being good sports about the chilly weather! 🙂
