Sisters and Doodle | Kansas City family photographer

I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Kaitlin through a small group I joined over the last year. Her sweet spirit and enormous capacity to love makes her the kind of friend that anyone would be lucky to have. She and her sister wanted to get some updated sibling shots, and they couldn’t leave out Teddy, their golden-doodle, who they affectionately called “Doodle.” Have you ever met a sister duo so beautiful? Sneak a peak!

another indiana visit.

as a final hoorah with the ending of my maternity leave, the boys and i made a visit to indiana. i try to not make it a habit to have my camera out at each and every event, but i did sneak in some photos to help document part of our stay.

love that place so much. enjoy! [see a couple of my posts from prior visits here & here.]

an indiana weekend.

owen and i made a trip to indiana this past weekend for one final trip to my parents’ house before a baby arrives. owen had grandma and grandpa’s undivided attention – a luxury that will be far less frequent with a baby brother around.
the weather was great – perfect for feeding the baby sheep and looking for treasures in the empty corn fields!

ella’s first horse show.

i had the privilege of being asked to take photos for my niece’s first horse show. this came with perks: i got to go behind the scenes to meet barron, the horse she rode during her show, and one of which i’ve heard her talk about after horse riding lessons over the past year.
one thing i love so much about horses is their eyes. there is such a gentleness about them, and something so sweet about looking at those big brown eyes looking right back at you as you pet them. i had a horse up until i was about 2 years old, but sadly remember nothing about it. makes me wish i’d spent more time around them growing up.
my niece looked so big up there riding that [even bigger] horse. it was a long day, and she did a remarkable job. so proud of you, bean!

kacey and lola | kansas city pet photographer

a couple of weeks ago, i had the privilege of getting to spend a little time with these two beautiful girls: kacey and lola. our time was cut short do to a little accident with lola, but i’m not completely convinced she didn’t stage the accident as she was a bit camera shy. 😉 i’m a dog lover, and these two are no exception!
