let’s do 52: week 44

week 44: boys.
Owen had his cousin over for their first, but definitely not last, sleepover. Owen adores Nathan, and might even go as far to say that he is a wee bit obsessed right now. 😉 The two of them played so well together – cars and trains and trucks 100% of the time. In a flock of so many girl cousins, we’re making it our mission to have those boys stick together! (It will be fun to see Matthias join them in their play as he gets bigger!) Owen was already asking to have Nathan come back to his house on our way home from dropping him off – looks like it may be the first of many!

week 43: melancholy
this week’s image comes from napa, taken of my cousin’s sweet baby boy, liam. he has a twin sister, norah, who i blogged about last summer after a brief visit to indiana. from their looks to their personality, i don’t feel these two could be any more different. (yet both so incredibly wonderful!) love this sweet face that is just begging for a smooch!

week 42: vineyards

we spent a long weekend in napa for a wedding, and also made a mini-vacation out of the occasion. wine country is just beautiful. we experienced it in all of its october/fall/beautiful weather glory, and definitely plan to make a trip back.

let’s do 52: week 41

week 41: cheetos

well, fall is in full swing, and we enjoyed our limited time home together this weekend at our neighborhood fall festival. it was a beautiful afternoon and owen thoroughly enjoyed the bounce house and his cheetos. he came home with orange stained fingers, and both cheeks painted with seemingly permanent facepaint. the cheetos, thankfully, came off in the bathtub.. but it looks like he’ll be doing his day with a faded pumpkin and star on his cheeks tomorrow. HAPPY FALL!

week 40: mixed up

it got cold. like, real cold. all week, it had been gorgeous. the mornings a bit chilly, perhaps, but upper 60’s to low 70’s by midday. then suddenly, the weekend arrives, it it brought fall. the colder & more shocking later version of fall. ready or not..
